Today, I had an mazing guest on the show. His name is Gabrièu and he hosts a YouTube channel in Occitan.
We spoke about the different variants of Occitan in the dialect continuum of the South of France. We also spoke about the differences in the approach Spain and France have taken on linguistic policies in academic institutions as well as in everyday society in the Catalan side and in the French side.
Overall, it was quite interesting to realize how we understood each other in Catalan and Occitan without much of a problem at all.
